Funky brewery that has the cool can designs we see in many Durham bars. I hear they have a fantastic NE IPA called “Hop & Lock” (ha!) that we should try.

Has a NE IPA named “Baby James IPA”

Burial Beer: 40 Collier Ave — Belgian ales and German lagers

Twin Leaf144 Coxe Ave — Juicyfruit IPA is the best

The tour is amazing and the brewery is gorgeous. Try their new NE IPA named “FOMO IPA”.

Highland Brewing: 12 Old Charlotte Hwy, Asheville, NC 28803; the rooftop deck is big and has a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.

Hi-Wire Brewing: 197 Hilliard Ave; love their brown ale

Wedge: 5 Foundy Street, Asheville, NC 28801 — West Asheville; free peanuts, right beside 12 Bones Smokehouse

New Belgium Brewing: 21 Craven St. — West Asheville; nice building and outside area; not the most exciting beer

Hip, multilevel bar with a vintage vibe serving craft cocktails & locally sourced New American fare.

Capella on 9: 10 Broadway, 9th Floor, Asheville, NC
Rooftop cocktail bar; a little swanky, but supposedly has fantastic drinks.

Little Jumbo: 241 Broadway, Asheville, NC
Has a “Manhattan service for 2”; 4 variations of G&T; and something called Water Lily that I want to try

Top of the Monk: Cocktail bar above Thirsty Monk; good, but crowded. Has a small outdoor space.
